Trinity Kings 8 took place October 12th from Blaisdall Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii. In the main event Alex Munoz remained undefeated taking a decision from Troy Lamson. The entire bout was on the feet with Munoz landing more even while backing up and seeming to have more power on his punches. UFC Fight Night 161: Joanna vs Waterson Results






UFC Fight Night 161 took place October 12th from Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. In the main event Joanna Jedrzejczyk seemingly earned a strawweight title shot taking a decision from Michelle Waterson in a very good fight. Most of the fight saw Jedrzejczyk outlanding Waterson and landing the harder strikes. Waterson looked for take downs but couldn't seem to get them outside of two instances where she did get Jedrzejczyk's back standing. In the end Jedrzejczyk took the decision. Earlier Amanda Ribas made a statement handing Mackenzie Dern her first defeat. The bout was almost entirely on the feet and Ribas just had superior striking and Dern was able to mount much offense. Earlier JJ Aldrich took a decision from Lauren Mueller. After two close rounds Aldrich put on a display in round three rocking Mueller multiple times to take the decision. PFL: 2019 #7 Playoffs Results





The PFL playoffs began October 11th from Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. In women's action Kayla Harrison advanced to the finals by defeating last minute replacement Bobbi Jo Dalziel. Harrison quickly took Dalziel down and landed some punches from the top and from her back. With about two minutes left in the round Harrison began looking for the armbar and got it for the tap. She will be opposed in the finals by Larissa Pacheco who took a decision from Sarah Kaufman. Rounds one and two saw Pacheco land the harder punches and add in some well timed takedowns. Round three saw Kaufman attempt to comeback and land some good shots but it was too little too late. UFC Fight Night 158 took place September 21st from Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexicot City, Mexico. In women's action Carla Esparza took a majority decision from Alexa Grasso in a great fight. In the main event Weili Zhang became the new strawweight champion with a first round finish of former champ Jessica Andrade. In women's action Ayaka Hamasaki overcame early adversity having her back taken to recover and secure a first round armbar submission of Suwanan Boonsorn. Earlier Kanna Asakura took a close decision from Alesha Zappitella. Both fighters landed some hard shots that had their opponent backing up as their wrestling seemed to almost cancel each other out and in the end two of the three judges sided with Asakura. Also Ai Shimizu took a decision from Tabatha Watkins. Watkins threatened with submissions early but was unable to finish them. CFFC 77 yook place August 16th from Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In the main event Nikolas Motto made short work of Cesar Balmaceda scoring a knockout in under a minute. UFC on ESPN 5 took place August 3rd from Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. In women's action Antonina Shevchenko defeated Lucie Pudilova. After a good first round landing strikes, doing especially well in the clinch, Shevchenko in round two was able to get a rear naked choke that put Pudilova to sleep to get the win. UFC 240 took place July 27th from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. In women's action, Cris Cyborg rebounded from her loss to Amanda Nunes with a victory over Felicia Spencer. UFC on ESPN 4: Dos Anjos vs Edwards Results






UFC on ESPN 4 took place July 20th from San Antonio, Texas. In women's action Raquel Pennington won a close decision from Irene Aldana. The decision came down to round one as round two was all Aldana using aggressive striking and landing some very good shots. Round three saw Pennington on top landing hard shots. So it came down to how round one was scored and two judges favored Pennington. Earlier, Jennifer Maia took a decision from Roxanne Modafferi. Maia had a noticeable size advantage and used it to prevent Modafferi from getting the fight to the ground.
