LFA 81: Emmers vs Barbosa Results

LFA 81 took place January 31st from The Hangar at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa, California. In women's action Sam Hughes remained undefeated taking a decision from Lisa Mauldin. Most of the fight stayed standing with Hughes doing a little bit more in each round and landing more damaging shots including some nice shots landed in the clinch. In the end all three judges gave Hughes each round, but they were not one-sided rounds. Earlier Vanessa Demopoulos took a decision from Loveth Young in an outstanding bout. Round one was all Young as she landed harder more frequent punches that had Demopoulos unable to do much. Round two saw Young land punches early but Demopoulos take over when she got it to the ground landing hard ground and pound and almost getting an armbar at the end of the round. Round three was close with Young taking the first half by outstriking her opponent but then Demopoulos took over late with some good work on the ground. Here are all your results and our Of The Night Awards.

UFC 246: McGregor vs Cerrone Results

UFC 246 took place January 18th from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In women's action, Holly Holm took a decision from Raquel Pennington. Holm used her gameplan to perfection, keeping the fight in the clinch and landing strikes in there. Pennington would occasionally be able to reverse it but couldn't break the grip and would get her back put back against the cage. Also, Roxanne Modafferi scored a huge win by dominating Maycee Barber to hand Barber her first defeat. Right from the outset Modafferi was able to get it to the ground and just dominate, getting mount, looking for submissions and bloodying Barber up.
