The first installment of the second season of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series took place June 12th. In the Main Event, Alonzo Menifield took no time at all to secure a victory, stopping DaShawn Boatright in just eight seconds. He dropped him and landed a couple shots and Boatright went out for a split second and the ref stepped in to stop it. In the Co-Main Event, Chris Curtis looked impressive getting a third round win over Sean Lally. Both fighters had their moments but Curtis landed the harder more effective strikes before getting the finish. Here are all your results and our Of The Night Awards.
1. Middleweight: Kevin Holland (12-3) defeated Will Santiago (9-5) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/30-27). We scored it 29-28 Holland.
2. Bantamweight: Montel Jackson (6-0) defeated Rico Disciullo (9-2, 1NC) via TKO at 2:15 of Round 3.
3. Heavyweight: Greg Hardy (1-0) defeated Austen Lane (4-1) via TKO at :57 of Round 1.
4. Welterweight: Chris Curtis (19-5) defeated Sean Lally (8-3) via TKO at 1:37 of Round 3.
5. Light Heavyweight: Alonzo Menifield (7-0) defeated DaShawn Boatright (3-1) via TKO at :08 of Round 1.
