GFC 25 Results






GFC 25 took place March 21st from MTL Arena in Samara, Russia. In the main event, for the strawweight title, Anna Rudenko defeated Ksenia Lachkova by split decision. The bout was even everywhere with both fighters having moments on the feet and the ground. Being a five round fight, they did tire as it went on, but still kept up a decent pace. Beast Championship 3 took place March 21st from PCYC Gladstone in Gladstone Central, Australia. Coronavirus concerns caused drastic changes to the card as it became an all-amateur event with several c-class bouts which means fighters under age 18 as well as some exhibition bouts between teammates. In the main event, Brandon Veitch became the b-class amateur welterweight champion defeating Jarrad Guyer. Round one saw Guyer get it to the ground and control most of the action but in round two when it went to the ground Veitch got a triangle for the tap. Cage Warriors 113 Results






Cage Warriors 113 took place March 20th from BEC Arena in Manchester, England. The event, held in an empty arena due to coronavirus concerns featured a main event of UFC fighters Darren Stewart and Bartosz Fabinski. Both were scheduled to compete on last weekend's cancelled UFC card and were moved to this one. Round one saw Fabinski get the takedown and control from the top, however Stewart landed an elbow that opened up a cut on Fabinski that produced a large amount of blood. UFC Fight Night 170: Lee vs Oliveira Results






UFC Fight Night 170 took place March 14th from Ginasio Nilson Nelson in Brasilia, Brazil. The unique card with no fans in attendance due to coronavirus concerns saw female action as Amanda Ribas scored a victory over Randa Markos. Ribas controlled the first two rounds first taking advantage on the feet and then on the ground. Round three saw Markos attempt to get back into it and after initial success, Ribas again took control and the decision. Earlier Maryna Moroz scored a big win over previously unbeaten Mayra Bueno Silva. At first Silva came out the aggressor and landed some punches but then Moroz got in her groove and while she definitely did not have the power of her opponent, she landed the cleaner and more frequent strikes. Also Bea Malecki remained undefeated taking a decision from Veronica Macedo. Brawl International 2020 Results






Brawl International took place March 13th from Dusit Thani Hotel in Tumon, Guam. These bouts consisted of a ten minute round and a five minute round and if there was no finish in the fight then it was declared a draw. In the main event Joey Crisostomo faced off with Jae Hyuk Bang. They were not scheduled to fight each other but when one fighter backed out late, the card was changed to have these two face each other. The bout consisted of them mainly exchanging strikes with neither getting a clear advantage until Bang hurt and dropped him. Bang then got his back and sunk in the rear naked choke for the win. Alaska Fighting Championship returned on March 11th from Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The main event featured a bout for the vacant featherweight title between Tyson Duckworth and Jeremiah Sierra. Right away Sierra dropped Duckworth with a cross but Duckworth regained his composure and took over on the ground eventually sinking in an arm triangle for the tapout. UFC 248 took place March 7th from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In women's action Weili Zhang retained her strawweight title taking a split decision from Joanna Jedrzejczyk in an amazing fight. Each round saw both fighters have moments where they landed hard shots that did damage. Early in round one Jedrzejczyk getting the better of the striking, until Zhang came back and took control. Invicta FC Phoenix Series 3 Results





Invicta FC presented it's third Phoenix Series event on March 6th from Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas. Phoenix Series is an eight woman tournament where the first two rounds are one round bouts with the finals being three rounds. Also Julija Stoliarenko defeated Lisa Verzosa in an incredible fight to become the new bantamweight champion. Round one saw Stoliarenko landed some very hard kicks and punches that had Verzosa hurt and in trouble and then she looked for submissions on the ground. From then on it was four rounds of back and forth action with both fighters bleeding badly, Stoliarenko from her nose and Verzosa from a really bad cut.
