Titan FC 58: Rivera vs Sabatello Results




Titan FC 58 took place December 20th from Xtreme Action Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In the Main Event, Irwin Rivera retained his bantamweight title with a fourth round stoppage of Danny Sabatello. Rounds one and two saw Sabatello use takedowns and top control to jump out in front but late in round two Rivera landed a flying knee that opened a bad cut on Sabatello. From then on Rivera took control, stuffing takedown attempts andhurting Sabatello with punches. WXC: Warrior Wednesday 10 Results






WXC was back at it with another Warrior Wednesday card on December 18th from Crystal Gardens in Southgate, Michigan. In the main event Juancamilo Ronderos retained his flyweight title with a split decision win over Eric Shelton. The story of the bout was Shelton getting takedowns and working from the back but Ronderos using good defense to avoid damage and actually being fairly active with strikes from positions where Shelton had the superior spot. UFC 245 took place December 14th from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In women's action, Amanda Nunes retained her bantamweight title with a decision over Germaine de Randamie. Round one saw Nunes on the verge of getting the stoppage as she landed vicious ground and pound. Round two saw de Randamie mount a comeback and seem to hurt the champ. From then on the story was the same with Nunes taking it to the ground and while not landing a lot of damage, doing just enough to avoid getting stood up and walk away with the decision. Pancrase 311 Results





Pancrase 311 took place December 8th from Studio Coast in Tokyo, Japan. In the main event Emi Fujino won the interim strawweight title with a third round stoppage of Jang Hyunji. Throughout the fight it was Fujino stalking down her opponent and landing punches while Hyunji landed the occasional counter. Late in the second Fujino started looking for submissions in the clinch and again in the third before sinking in the rear naked choke for the tap. Earlier Mariya Suzuki took a close split decision from Nori Date. Date took the first round landing harder punches but after that Suzuki upped her aggression and began landing more and two of the three judges took her side. Also sixteen year old Karen Date defeated Diana by decision. Date looked great continuing to be aggressive throughout and landing some very creative strikes. UFC on ESPN 7: Overeem vs Rozenstruik Results





UFC on ESPN 7 took place December 7th from Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. In women's action Marina Rodriguez and Cynthia Calvillo fought to a draw. Round one was close with Rodriguez winning the stand-up but Calvillo mixed in some takedowns and had her moments. Round two was all Rodriguez landing some good shots on the feet and the ground. Round three saw Calvillo make a comeback and be on the verge of getting the finish which convinced two of the judges to give her a 10-8 round to get the draw. Earlier Aspen Ladd got back on track with a win over Yana Kunitskaya. The story of the fight was Ladd getting clinches but Kunitskaya doing a good job of avoiding serious damage and being fairly active in the clinch. Round one Ladd sealed the round late with a takedown. Round two, Kunitskaya's activity in the clinch was good and maybe got her the round. Round three Ladd came out with a renewed aggression and dropped her and got the stoppage. Also, Virna Jandiroba got her first UFC win over Mallory Martin who stepped in on short notice. Martin was looking for a guillotine in round one but Jandiroba used her excellent ground game to escape and look for her own submissions.
