Alaska Fighting Championship 144: Faavale vs Heun Results
Alaska Fighting Championship held their 144th event on January 16th from Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In the Main Event, Jake Heun sent the fans home unhappy beating local favorite Mika Faavale in just twenty-five seconds. Just into the opening round, Heun dropped him with a head kick and landed some more punches forcing the ref to stop it. In the Co-Main Event, Al Matavao took a majority decision from Aaron Phillips. Round one was all Matavao but Phillips came back in round two with good ground work. Round three was the decider and Matavao used his stand-up to narrowly win the round. 1. 165LB Catch Weight: Nial Atkinson (4-0) defeated Josh Gale (1-6) via Tapout (Anaconda Choke) at :58 of Round 2.
2. Middleweight: Jesse Hull (1-0) defeated Bryan Dyer (0-1) via TKO at :34 of Round 1.
3. Super Heavyweight: Enoka Sautia (3-0) defeated Charlie Gallant (0-2) via TKO at 1:17 of Round 1.
4. Featherweight: David Booker (5-3) defeated Caleb Miller (0-4) via Tapout (Arm Triangle) at 4:09 of Round 2.
5. Light Heavyweight: Al Matavao (6-2) defeated Aaron Phillips (2-1) via Majority Decision (29-28/29-28/28-28). We scored it 29-28 Matavao.
6. Heavyweight: Jake Heun (12-8) defeated Mika Faavale (5-3) via TKO at :25 of Round 1.
