UFC 261 took place April 24th from VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. In women's action Rose Namajunas regained the strawweight title with a knockout of Weili Zhang in the first round. After an initial exchange of strikes, Namajunas put her down and out with a head kick in just over one minute to claim the title. Earlier Valentina Shevchenko retained her flyweight title dominating Jessica Andrade. Shevchenko made it clear from the beginning that she was going to look for the takedowns and got them with ease.
