UFC 249 took place May 9th from ViStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. In women's action Carla Esparza took a decision from Michelle Waterson that had scores all over the place. Round one saw Waterson land as Esparza stayed on the outside before Esparza got a takedown to end the round. Round two saw Esparza coming forward more and landing some strikes as Waterson's output was a bit lower. Round three was a close round that saw Esparza try and come forward and land strikes while Waterson landed some of her own. In the end two of the three judges sided with Esparza. 5. Heavyweight: Aleksei Oleinik (59-13-1) defeated Fabricio Werdum (23-9-1) via Split Decision (28-29/29-28/29-28). We scored it 29-28 Werdum.
6. Welterweight: Anthony Pettis (23-10) defeated Donald Cerrone (36-15, 1NC) via Unanimous Decision (29-28/29-28/29-28). We scored it 29-28 Pettis.
7. Heavyweight: Greg Hardy (6-2, 1NC) defeated Yorgan De Castro (6-1) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/30-27). We scored it 29-28 De Castro.

9. Heavyweight: Francis Ngannou (15-3) defeated Jairzinho Rozenstruik (10-1) via KO at :20 of Round 1.
10. Bantamweight Title: Henry Cejudo (16-2) defeated Dominick Cruz (22-3) via TKO at 4:58 of Round 2.
11. Interim Lightweight Title: Justin Gaethje (22-2) defeated Tony Ferguson (26-4) via TKO at 3:39 of Round 5.
