You know the saying "ready for the big stage"? It's not always said in those exact words, but in the end it always comes back to that same meaning. That saying applies to Hannah Goldy. Hannah from all signs has the tools to move on to bigger things. Let's look at how she got here.

After a successful amateur career, The Queen of Sparta turned pro in 2016 starting her career off with a win over current UFC fighter Gillian Robertson and people began to take notice. Winning the fight for Island Fights, Goldy took out someone who herself was seen as a top prospect. But her career was put on hold as she became a mom. Her career was put on hold but surely it was not to be permanent.

In short order, Goldy, after giving birth, got herself back in the shape she was known for and in February of this year earned a second round stoppage for Island fights over Vanessa Marie Grimes, an opponent who may not have had the most stellar record but herself had faced some very tough competition. The Queen of Sparta was back and looking better than ever. Which leads us to her most recent bout, just weeks ago when she faced Bellator veteran Lisa Blaine.

Anyone who has paid attention knew this bout was gonna be a stand-up battle where the more aggressive fighter was likely to come out on top. Right from the outset, Hannah showed herself to be the more aggressive fighter, coming forward and putting pressure on her opponent. Blaine, showed heart, did not back down and landed her own share of strikes. However, Hannah was relentless, getting in, landing her shots, and showing a real good fight I.Q., being aggressive when needed but also knowing when to reset, in shorter terms, aggressive but not reckless. After two rounds, Goldy was clearly up on the cards and could have coasted, but instead decided to show why she is a fan friendly fight and kept up the pressure and kept coming forward. Also in a tribute to her conditioning, looked just as fresh at the end as she did at the beginning. Goldy walked away with a unanimous decision.

Going forward, a promotion such as Invicta would be so wise to sign-up a talent like Hannah Goldy. The skill is there to hang with all the up and coming featherweights and she is someone who fans will know they can expect an exciting fight, whether it goes one round or all three rounds. Talent, exciting, charisma, marketability, everything a promotion wants in a fighter is there in Hannah Goldy, and two achieve what she is achieving while also caring for a baby makes it all the more impressive. There is no doubt she is ready for that "big stage" and hopefully that opportunity comes sooner rather than later.
