Dana White's Contender Series returned August 4th from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the Main Event, Dustin Jacoby defeated Ty Flores. Each round was the same with Jacoby landing repeated hard shots that would hurt Flores but not put him away. Flores for his part showed a great chin and heart as he kept trying even though getting hit with all the hard strikes. Here are all your results and our Of The Night Awards.
1. Lightweight: Jordan Leavitt (7-0) defeated Luke Flores (9-2) via Tapout (Arm Triangle) at 4:15 of Round 1.
2. Flyweight: Jerome Rivera (10-2) defeated Luis Rodriguez (11-2) via Unanimous Decision (29-28/30-27/30-27). We scored it 30-27 Rodriguez.
3. Lightweight: Uros Medic (6-0) defeated Mikey Gonzalez (7-2) via TKO at 2:12 of Round 1.
4. Light Heavyweight: Dustin Jacoby (12-5) defeated Ty Flores (7-3) via Unanimous Decision (30-26/29-27/29-27). We scored it 30-6 Jacoby.
