UFC 252 took place August 15th from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In women's action Virna Jandiroba made short work of Felice Herrig. Almost immediately Jandiroba got a takedown and used her superior ground game to get an armbar and tap in under two minutes. Earlier Livinha Souza took a decision from Ashley Yoder in a close fight. Early Souza was more accurate with harder punches but as the fight wore on Yoder started to land the more power shots that had Souza backing up. In the end the judges sided with Souza. 8. Featherweight: Daniel Pineda (27-13, 2NC) defeated Herbert Burns (11-3) via TKO at 4:37 of Round 2.
9. Heavyweight: Jairzinho Rozenstruik (11-1) defeated Junior Dos Santos (21-8) via TKO at 3:47 of Round 2.
10. Bantamweight: Marlon Vera (16-6-1) defeated Sean O'Malley (12-1) via TKO at 4:40 of Round 1.
11. Heavyweight Title: Stipe Miocic (20-3) defeated Daniel Cormier (22-3, 1NC) via Unanimous Decision (49-46/49-46/48-47). We scored it 49-46 Miocic.
