On September 7th Tachi Palace Fights presented their Validation card. The event featured mostly quick but exciting finishes with some fighters with serious "big show" potential. Several fights however were marred by the embarrassing referee job by Marcos Rosales. He let several fights go much longer than they should and risked injury to fighters, the most blatant being when Antonio Duarte clearly tapped out to Rolando Velasco's guillotine, Rosales missed the tap and then when Duarte was clearly unconscious it still took Rosales way to long to stop it. A good night of fights and sadly the most talked about thing is an incredibly shameful performance by a referee.
1. Pro 125LBS
Kristen Gatz (0-0 Last Stand Fight Team) vs Jessica Rakoczy (0-3 Drysdale/Sefo)
RD 1: They come out trading punches. They clinch against the cage and trade knees to the leg. They separate and Rakoczy lands two leg kicks. Jab by Gatz. They clinch on the cage and Rakoczy lands body shots. They separate and trade punches. They clinch on the cage and Rakoczy lands a knee to the body. They separate and Rakoczy lands hard punches to drop her and lands a couple more till the ref steps in.

RD 1: Leg kick by Martin. Hook by Martin. They trade leg kicks. Nice leg kick by Bollea. Leg kick by Martin. Takedown by Martin but he lets him up. Hook by Bollea. Bollea is cut by his eye. Body kick by Martin. Martin lands punches drops Bollea. Martin gets on top and lands punches. Martin has his back and Bollea gets half guard. Elbows to the head by Martin. Bollea is trying to escape but can't. Martin gets his back and lands hard punches.

RD 2: Body kick by Martin. They trade hooks. A body kick by martin drops him. Martin gets on top and lands hammer fists. More hard head shots by Martin. Martin gets mount and lands punches. Now Martin lands elbows to the head till the ref stops it. It should have been stopped sooner.

Javier Galas (0-1 No Limit) vs Alex Perez (5-2 Team Ochoa)
RD 1: Leg kick by Perez. Perez shoots in and they clinch against the cage. Perez working for a takedown. Perez gets his back standing and brings him down looking for a rear naked. He gives up on it and lands punches. He tries again for the rear naked and gets it for the tap.

Drew Montgomery (12-5 Last Stand Fight Team) vs Angel De Anda (9-2 Carnage Fight Team)
RD 1: Hook by De Anda. Hook by Montgomery. Hook and uppercut by De Anda. They clinch and move to the cage. Knee to the body by Montgomery. They separate and trade punches. Cross by De Anda. De Anda shoots in and gets a takedown. Body shots by De Anda. More short body shots by De Anda. Now head shots by De Anda. More body shots by De Anda. Now more head shots by De Anda. De Anda lands hammer fists until the ref stops it. Another late stoppage by referee Marcos Rosales.

Takedown by Quinones. Avila looks for a guillotine but can't get it. Nice sweep by Avila to get mount. Avila goes for a guillotine and gives up position and now Quinones is on top. Quinones goes for a leg but can't get it. They stand and drop back down with Avila looking for a guillotine, which he gets for the tap.

Duarte gets up and they trade hard shots with Velasco getting the best of it. Velasco drops him with a hook and gets on top landing punches. Duarte pulls guard. Body shots by Velasco. Velasco gets a guillotine and gets the tap. The referee misses the tap and Duarte is put to sleep. Marcos Rosales messes up again and lets a man who tapped out get choked unconscious.

Jason Drake (4-5 Thrive MMA) vs Poppies Martinez (20-8 Bakersfield Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu)
