Bellator 254 took place December 10th from Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. In the main event Juliana Velasquez became the new flyweight champion taking a decision from Ilima-Lei Macfarlane. The first couple rounds were close with not a ton of action but Velasquez did enough to take them. Round three saw Velasquez begin to bloody Macfarlane and land hard shots. In round four Macfarlane finally got the fight to the ground and had some success and force another close fifth round. In the end all three judges sided with Velasquez. 2. Featherweight: Cody Law (2-0) defeated Kenny Champion (2-1) via TKO at 4:44 of Round 3.
3. Light Heavyweight: Grant Neal (5-0) defeated Maurice Jackson (7-3) via Tapout (Rear Naked Choke) at 3:59 of Round 2.
4. Welterweight: Shamil Nikaev (10-0) defeated Kemran Lachinov (10-3) via Unanimous Decision (29-28/29-28/29-28). We scored it 29-28 Nikaev.
5. Middleweight: Romeo Cotton (5-0) defeated Justin Sumter (7-4) via Tapout (Rear Naked Choke) at 3:36 of Round 1.
6. Heavyweight: Linton Vassell (21-8) defeated Ronny Markes (19-8) via TKO at 3:37 of Round 2.
7. Bantamweight: Magomed Magomedov (17-1) defeated Matheus Mattos (12-2-1) via Unanimous Decision (30-26/30-27/30-27). We scored it 30-27 Magomedov.
8. Flyweight Title: Juliana Velasquez (11-0) defeated Ilima-Lei Macfarlane (11-1) via Unanimous Decision (48-47/49-46/48-47). We scored it 48-47 Velasquez.
