Bellator 245 took place September 11th from Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. In women's action Cat Zingano made her long awaited return to the cage to take a decision from Gabrielle Holloway. Most of the bout was spent on the ground with Zingano using her superior ground game to keep top position and land punches and elbows allowing her to take the decision. Earlier Leslie Smith took a decision from Amanda Bell. The first two rounds saw Smith coming forward landing punches and getting it to the ground to control the bout. Bell for her part did show her toughness by withstanding it and coming back to take the third round, but having lost the first two, it wasn't enough. 3. Featherweight: Leslie Smith (12-8-1) defeated Amanda Bell (7-7) via Unanimous Decision (29-28/29-28/29-28). We scored it 29-28 Smith.
4. Light Heavyweight: Alex Polizzi (7-0) defeated Rafael Carvalho (16-5) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/30-27). We scored it 30-27 Polizzi.
5. Welterweight: Raymond Daniels (2-1, 1NC) vs Peter Stanonik (4-4, 1NC) was ruled a No-Contest (Accidental low blow by Daniels) at 1:00 of Round 2.
6. Middleweight: Taylor Johnson (6-1) defeated Ed Ruth (8-3) via Tapout (Heel Hook) at :59 of Round 1.
7. Featherweight: Cat Zingano (11-4) defeated Gabrielle Holloway (6-6) via Unanimous Decision (29-27/30-26/30-26). We scored it 30-27 Zingano.
8. Light Heavyweight: Phil Davis (22-5) defeated Lyoto Machida (26-10) via Split Decision (28-29/29-28/29-28). We scored it 29-28 Davis.
