UFC 232 took place December 29th from The Forum in Engelwood, California. In the Main Event, Jon Jones made his return to the cage and defeated Alexander Gustafsson to become the new Light Heavyweight Champion. The first two rounds were pretty close with Jones getting the edge with good leg kicks. In round three he took it to the ground and got his back and landed shots till the ref stopped it. In the Co-Main Event, Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes became a double champion knocking out Featherweight Champ Cris Cyborg in under a minute. Both fighters came out throwing hard. Nunes rocked her a couple times and then dropped her for the upset win. In earlier women's action Megan Anderson got her first UFC win over Cat Zingano. Anderson landed a kick to the head and her toe appeared to go into Zingano's eye. Zingano turned her back and Anderson followed up for the TKO win.
