Bellator 242 took place July 24th from Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. In the main event Sergio Pettis took a decision from Ricky Bandejas. Each round was pretty similar with Pettis landing a nice mix of kicks and punches that had Bandejas moving backwards and having a hard time getting much offense going for himself. 1. Heavyweight: Ras Hylton (6-4) defeated Rudy Schaffroth (6-2) via Unanimous Decision (29-28/29-28/29-28). We scored it 29-28 Schaffroth.
2. Bantamweight: Raufeon Stots (14-1) defeated Cass Bell (5-1) via Tapout (Rear Naked Choke) at 1:24 of Round 3.
3. Welterweight: Mark Lemminger (11-1) defeated Jake Smith (7-4) via TKO at 4:46 of Round 2.
4. Featherweight: Aaron Pico (6-3) defeated Solo Hatley Jr. (8-3) via Tapout (Rear Naked Choke) at 2:10 of Round 1.
5. Featherweight: Jay Jay Wilson (6-0) defeated Tywan Claxton (6-2) via Split Decision (27-30/29-28/30-27). We scored it 29-28 Claxton.
6. Welterweight: Jason Jackson (12-4) defeated Jordan Mein (31-13) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/30-27). We scored it30-27 Jackson.
7. Bantamweight: Sergio Pettis (20-5) defeated Ricky Bandejas (13-4) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/30-27). We scored it 29-28 Pettis.
