UFC Fight Night 157: Andrade vs Zheng Results
UFC Fight Night 157 took place August 31st from Universiade Sports Centre in Shezhen, China. In the main event Weili Zhang became the new strawweight champion with a first round finish of former champ Jessica Andrade. After an initial flurry by both to start the fight, Zhang hurt her and landed many unanswered elbows and punches to drop Andrade and get the win. Earlier Mizuki Inoue made her UFC debut a successful one taking a decision from Yanan Wu that saw Inoue be the more aggressive fighter early, landing punches and forcing Wu to back up. Wu made a late attempt to come back but was too little too late. Earlier Karol Rosa took a decision from Lara Procopio. Rosa was the better striker and was outworking her on the feet. WXC Warrior Wednesday took place August 28th from Crystal Gardens in Southgate, Michigan. In the main event for the bantamweight title, Jose Johnson walked away with the tile scoring a first round knockout of Pipe Vargas. Early on it was clear Johnson was the better striker as he landed the majority of the strikes. Bellator 225: Mitrione vs Kharitonov 2 Results

RIZIN 18 Results
Rizin 18 took place August 18th from Dolphins Arena in Nagoya, Japan. In women's action Ayaka Hamasaki overcame early adversity having her back taken to recover and secure a first round armbar submission of Suwanan Boonsorn. Earlier Kanna Asakura took a close decision from Alesha Zappitella. Both fighters landed some hard shots that had their opponent backing up as their wrestling seemed to almost cancel each other out and in the end two of the three judges sided with Asakura. Also Ai Shimizu took a decision from Tabatha Watkins. Watkins threatened with submissions early but was unable to finish them. Round three saw Shimizu tee off on the ground landed hard punches and knees to the head to take the decision. CFFC 77: Balmaceda vs Motto Results
CFFC 77 yook place August 16th from Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In the main event Nikolas Motto made short work of Cesar Balmaceda scoring a knockout in under a minute. Motto hurt him and then dropped him with a punch and followed up with two more on the ground but Balmaceda was out before he even hit the ground. UFC: Dana White's Tuesday Night Contenders Series 2019 Week 7 Results
Week seven of the Tuesday Night Contender Series took place August 6th from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In women's action Lucrezia Ria took a close split decision from Marilia Santos. Rounds one and two were close with both fighters landing hard strikes as well as getting some work done on the ground. Round three was all Santos as Ria looked gassed and Santos landed some very good shots and looked for submissions on the ground, but for two of the three judges it wasn't enough. UFC on ESPN 5: Covington vs Lawler Results
UFC on ESPN 5 took place August 3rd from Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. In women's action Antonina Shevchenko defeated Lucie Pudilova. After a good first round landing strikes, doing especially well in the clinch, Shevchenko in round two was able to get a rear naked choke that put Pudilova to sleep to get the win. Earlier lauren Murphy scored a big win. The first two rounds of her bout with Mara Romero Borella were very close but in round two Murphy dropped her with a knee and landed a punch punches to get the finish. Also, in a battle of unbeaten's, Miranda Granger took a decision from Hannah Goldy with the ref's preferring Granger's greater output to Goldy's power shots. Combate Americas 41: Frausto vs Cordoba Results
Combate Americas 41 took place August 2nd place Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. In women's action Reina Cordoba scored a big upset with a first round stoppage of Zoila Frausto. In the beginning of the round Frausto was landing some good strikes showing she was the better stand-up fighter.
