UFC Fight Night 158 took place September 21st from Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexicot City, Mexico. In women's action Carla Esparza took a majority decision from Alexa Grasso in a great fight. Rounds one and took saw Esparza use her wrestling to control most of the action on the ground. Round three saw Grasso come back and stun Esparza on the feet and had an armbar that looked super tight. In the end the judges sided with Esparza. Earlier Irene Aldana took a decision from Vanessa Melo in an exciting fight. Aldana's striking was too much for Melo as she kept peppering her with jabs and throwing in some solid power punches. Earlier Angela Hill got a win over Ariane Carnelossi when the doctor ruled Carnelossi could not continue after Hill opened a bad cut with an elbow and Bethe Correia took a decision from Sijara Eubanks coming back to get the decision after almost being finished in round one. 2. Bantamweight: Bethe Correia (11-4-1) defeated Sijara Eubanks (5-4) via Unanimous Decision (29-28/29-28/29-28). We scored it 29-28 Correia.
3. Light Heavyweight: Paul Craig (12-4) defeated Vinicius Moreiera (9-4) via Tapout (Rear Naked Choke) at 3:19 of Round 1.
4. Flyweight: Sergio Pettis (18-5) defeated Tyson Nam (18-10-1) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/30-27). We scored it 29-28 Pettis.
5. Strawweight: Angela Hill (10-7) defeated Ariane Carnelossi (12-2) via TKO (Doctors Stoppage) at 1:56 of Round 3.
6. Featherweight: Kyle Nelson (13-3) defeated Marco Polo Reyes (8-8) via KO at 1:36 of Round 1.
7. Bantamweight: Jose Quinonez (9-3) defeated Carlos Huachin (10-5-1) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/30-27). We scored it 30-27 Quinonez.
8. Featherweight: Steven Peterson (18-9) defeated Martin Bravo (12-3) via KO at 1:31 of Round 2.
