UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs Volkov Results

UFC Fight Night took place February 5th from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In women's action Karol Rosa took a decision from Joselyne Edwards. Rose used her grappling to gain the early advantage and as the fight wore on, while Edwards was game, Rosa just continued to hold the advantage. Earlier Lara Procopio got her first UFC win taking a decision from Molly McCann. Procopio knowing her advantage was on the ground got the clinch and takedown time and again to control the fight from the top and McCann had no answer save for a very nice armbar attempt in round two. 3. Featherweight: Seungwoo Choi (9-3) defeated Youssef Zalal (10-4) via Unanimous Decision (29-28/29-28/30-27). We scored it 29-28 Choi.

4. Flyweight: Lara Procopio (7-1) defeated Molly McCann (10-4) via Unanimous Decision (29-27/29-28/30-27). We scored it 29-27 Procopio.

5. Bantamweight: Karol Rosa (14-3) defeated Joselyne Edwards (10-3) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/30-27). We scored it 30-27 Rosa.

6. 160LB Catch Weight: Devonte Smith (11-2) defeated Justin Jaynes (16-7) via TKO (Doctors Stoppage) at 3:58 of Round 2.

7. Light Heavyweight: Danilo Marques (11-2) defeated Mike Rodriguez (11-6, 1NC) via Technical Submission (Rear Naked Choke) at 4:52 of Round 2.

8. Lightweight: Beneil Dariush (20-4-1) defeated Diego Ferreira (17-3) via Split Decision (28-29/29-28/29-28). We scored it 30-27 Dariush.

9. Flyweight: Alexandre Pantoja (23-5) defeated Manel Kape (15-5) via Unanimous Decision (29-28/29-28/30-27). We scored it 29-28 Pantoja.

10. Lightweight: Clay Guida (36-17) defeated Michael Johnson (20-17) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/30-27). We scored it 30-27 Guida.

11. Bantamweight: Cory Sandhagen (14-2) defeated Frankie Edgar (25-9-1) via KO at :28 of Round 1.

12. Heavyweight: Alexander Volkov (33-8) defeated Alistair Overeem (47-19, 1NC) via TKO at 2:06 of Round 2.
