The latest Contender Series took place August 25th from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event, Jamie Pickett scored a second round finish of Jhonoven Pati. Round one saw both land some good shots and then Pickett looking for the choke on the ground. Round two, Pickett came out super fast throwing a lot of punches and landing enough to force the ref to step in. Here are all your results and our Of The Night Awards.
1. Middleweight: Collin Huckbody (8-2) defeated Kyron Bowen (9-5) via Tapout (Arm Triangle) at 1:28 of Round 1.
2. Lightweight: Anthony Romero (8-0) defeated Mike Breeden (8-3) via Unanimous Decision (30-26/30-27/29-28). We scored it 30-27 Romero.
3. Flyweight: Jeff Molina (8-2) defeated Jacob Silva (6-3) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/29-28). We scored it 29-28 Molina.
4. Lightweight: Rafael Alves (19-9) defeated Alejandro Flores (17-3) via Tapout (Guillotine Choke) at 2:55 of Round 2.
5. Middleweight: Jamie Pickett (11-4) defeated Jhonoven Pati (6-4) via TKO at :33 of Round 2.
