LFA 85 took place July 17th from Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In the main event Vanessa Demopoulos became the promotions first strawweight champion defeating Sam Hughes. The majority of the bout was Hughes using superior striking to land hard shots that had Demopoulos backing up. In round four the fight went to the ground and Demopoulos threw up a sneaky inverted triangle that put Hughes to sleep. Here are all your results and our Of The Night Awards.

2. Bantamweight: Christian Natividad (1-0) defeated Michael Aquila (1-2) via KO at 2:48 of Round 1.
3. Lightweight: Jordan Leavitt (6-0) defeated Leivan Lewis (3-1) via Tapout (Anaconda Choke) at 2:01 of Round 2.
4. Featherweight: Leandro Gomes (6-1) defeated Jacob Thrall (6-3-1) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/30-26). We scored it 30-27 Gomes.
5. Bantamweight: Kevin Natividad (9-1) defeated Kyle Estrada (10-6) via KO at 1:37 of Round 2.
6. Strawweight Title: Vanessa Demopoulos (5-1) defeated Sam Hughes (4-1) via Technical Submission (Inverted Triangle Choke) at 2:21 of Round 4.
