The PFL playoffs began October 11th from Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. In women's action Kayla Harrison advanced to the finals by defeating last minute replacement Bobbi Jo Dalziel. Harrison quickly took Dalziel down and landed some punches from the top and from her back. With about two minutes left in the round Harrison began looking for the armbar and got it for the tap. She will be opposed in the finals by Larissa Pacheco who took a decision from Sarah Kaufman. Rounds one and two saw Pacheco land the harder punches and add in some well timed takedowns. Round three saw Kaufman attempt to comeback and land some good shots but it was too little too late. Note: In quarterfinal bouts, it was only two rounds, if ruled a draw, the judges selected a winner. Here are all your results and our Of The Night Awards.
1. Featherweight: Brendan Loughnane (18-3) defeated Matt Wagy (13-7) via Unanimous Decision (30-26/30-27/30-27). We scored it 30-27 Loughnane.
2. Welterweight: Nikolay Aleksakhin (24-5) defeated Jesse Ronson (20-10) via TKO at 3:37 of Round 1.
3. Welterweight Quarterfinals: Ray Cooper III (19-7) defeated Sadibou Sy (8-6-1) by Judges Decision after bout was scored a Majority Draw (20-18/19-19/19-19). We scored it 20-18 Cooper.
4. Welterweight Quarterfinals: Glaico Franca (22-5) defeated Andrea Fialho (10-3) via Majority Decision (20-18/20-18/19-19). We scored it 20-18 Franca.
5. Welterweight Quarterfinals: Magomed Magomedkerimov (26-5) defeated Chris Curtis (21-7) via Unanimous Decision (20-18/20-18/20-18). We scored it 19-19.
6. Welterweight Quarterfinals: David Michaud (17-5) defeated John Howard (28-16-1) via Unanimous Decision (20-18/20-18/20-18). We scored it 20-18 Michaud.
7. Lightweight Semifinals: Larissa Pacheco (13-3) defeated Sarah Kaufman (21-5, 1NC) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/29-28). We scored it 30-27 Pacheco.
8. Lightweight Semifinals: Kayla Harrison (6-0) defeated Bobbi Jo Dalziel (5-2) via Tapout (Armbar) at 3:32 of Round 1.
9. Welterweight Semifinals: Ray Cooper III (20-7) defeated Chris Curtis (21-8) via KO at :11 of Round 2.
10. Welterweight Semifinals: David Michaud (18-5) defeated Glaico Franca (22-6) via Majority Decision (28-28/29-28/29-28). We scored it 29-28 Michaud.
