UFC on ESPN 5: Covington vs Lawler Results

UFC on ESPN 5 took place August 3rd from Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. In women's action Antonina Shevchenko defeated Lucie Pudilova. After a good first round landing strikes, doing especially well in the clinch, Shevchenko in round two was able to get a rear naked choke that put Pudilova to sleep to get the win. Earlier lauren Murphy scored a big win. The first two rounds of her bout with Mara Romero Borella were very close but in round two Murphy dropped her with a knee and landed a punch punches to get the finish. Also, in a battle of unbeaten's, Miranda Granger took a decision from Hannah Goldy with the ref's preferring Granger's greater output to Goldy's power shots.
