The latest Tuesday Night Contender Series took place June 25th from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the Main Event Tony Johnson took a decision from Alton Cunningham. Johnson had him hurt early and on the verge of stopping him but Cunningham was able to regroup and make the second and third rounds much closer. Cunningham forced the fight to be in close, clinching on the cage, but Johnson was able to do enough damage there to take the decision. Here are all your results and our Of The Night Awards.
1. Welterweight: Miguel Baeza (7-0) defeated Victor Reyna (10-4) via Unanimous Decision (29-28/29-28/29-28). We scored it 29-28 Baeza.
2. Bantamweight: Miles Johns (9-0) defeated Richie Santiago (7-2) via Unanimous Decision (30-27/30-27/30-26). We scored it 30-27 Johns.
3. Middleweight: Kyle Daukaus (7-0) defeated Michael Lombardo (8-2) via Unanimous Decision (30-25/30-26/29-27). We scored it 30-26 Daukaus.
4. Featherweight: Justin Gonzales (10-0) defeated Zach Lane (12-8) via Unanimous Decision (30-26/30-26/30-26). We scored it 30-27 Gonzales.
5. Light Heavyweight: Tony Johnson (8-2) defeated Alton Cunningham (7-2) via Unanimous Decision (29-28/29-28/29-28). We scored it 29-28 Johnson.
