Bellator 222 took place June 14th from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York. In women's action Taylor Turner defeated boxing World Champ Heather Hardy. Turner got the takedown quick and Hardy showed an inability to do anything to get off the ground. Turner wasn't landing powerful shots but continued landing punches and the accumulation was too much and the ref stopped it. Also Lindsey VanZandt defeated Rena Kubota in round one. Kubota landed some hard punches in the beginning but seemed to get a bit lazy and VanZandt seized the moment and got a clinch and then her back and put her to sleep. Also Valerie Loureda remained unbeaten taking a decision from Larkyn Dasch. Dasch showed heart continuing to march forward but Loureda was just too much for her.
