Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 6: Malignaggi vs Lobov Results

BKFC 6 took place June 22nd from Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida. The Main Event featured the highly anticipated battle of "boxer vs MMA" when Paulie Malignaggi faced Artem Lobov. All five rounds were fairly close with Malignaggi using his speed and footwork to try and get Lobov to chase him a bit and he was able to land some good shots while doing so. Lobov for his part tried to clinch up and do damage in the clinch and cut Malignaggi's head pretty badly in doing so. In the end, all three judges sided with Lobov. 2. Lightweight: Abdiel Velazquez (1-1 BKFC/9-6 MMA) defeated Travis Thompson (1-1 BKFC/7-12-3 Boxing/0-2 MMA) via Unanimous Decision (49-46/48-47/50-45). We scored it 49-46 Velazquez.

3. Light Heavyweight: David Mundell (10-5 MMA) defeated Drew Lipton (0-1 BKFC/0-3 Boxing/6-27 MMA) via TKO at 1:35 of Round 1.

4. Middleweight: Jim Alers (14-4 MMA) defeated Elvin Brito (1-0 BKFC/9-8 MMA) via KO at :45 of Round 1.

5. Light Heavyweight: Joe Riggs (2-0 BKFC/50-18-1 MMA) vs Walber Barros (6-7 MMA) was ruled a draw (47-47/47-47/47-47). We scored it 48-47 Barros.

6. Heavyweight: Joey Beltran (1-1-1 BKFC/17-15 MMA) defeated James Campbell (1-0 BKFC/4-2 Boxing) via KO at 1:50 of Round 2.

7. Middleweight: Julian Lane (2-2 BKFC/12-9-1 MMA) defeated Tom Shoaff (1-1 BKFC/11-4 MMA) via Unanimous Decision (49-45/49-45/49-45). We scored it 48-46 Lane.

8. Lightweight Title: Johnny Bedford (3-0 BKFC/23-14-1 MMA) defeated Reggie Barnett (3-0 BKFC/6-2 Boxing/3-4 MMA) via Unanimous Decision (47-45/47-45/48-44). We scored it 48-44 Bedford.

9. Cruiserweight: Dakota Cochrane (33-13 MMA) defeated Chris Leben (2-0 BKFC/22-11 MMA) via Unanimous Decision (49-46/49-46/48-47). We scored it 49-46 Leben.

10. Super Welterweight: Artem Lobov (1-0 BKFC/14-15-1 MMA) defeated Paulie Malignaggi (36-8 Boxing) via Unanimous Decision (48-47/48-47/48-47). We scored it 49-46 Lobov.
