UFC 229 took place October 6th from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the night's Main Event Khabib Nurmagomedov retained his Lightweight Title with a fourth round stoppage of Conor McGregor. The bout saw pretty repetitive rounds with Nurmagomedov taking McGregor down and landing punches. Finally in round four, he got his back and the choke for the win. Afterwards Nurmagomedov left the cage and started a fight out there and more chaos happened in the cage. In women's action. Yana Kunitskaya scored a win over Lina Lansberg, taking a decision in a lackluster affair. Aspen Ladd scored an incredibly impressive win taking down Tonya Evinger and landing punches for the stoppage in round one and Michelle Waterson defeated Felice Herrig in an exciting bout that saw both fighters have their moments.
