Another Friday Night Fights took place June 15th from The Broad Street Ballroom in New York, New York. In the Main Event of the Muay Thai card, Ognjen Topic won the WKA Lightweight Intercontinental Title with a very impressive win over Miguel Martinez. After some initial feeling out Topic landed a hard leg kick that buckled and dropped Martinez and Martinez was unable to answer the ten count. In amateur women's action, Jillian Bosserdet took a decision from Mary Brulatour in a good fight. Brulatour took the first round with the harder shots landing. From there, Bosserdet used a smart strategy of rushing in and forcing the clinch and was able to control the bout from there. Here are all your results and our Of The Night Awards.
1. Amateur Featherweight WKA Intercontinental Title: Jillian Bosserdet (8-7) defeated Mary Brulatour (11-8-1) via Unanimous Decision (49-46/48-47/48-47). We scored it 48-47 Bosserdet.
2. Amateur Lightweight New York State Title: David Agbodgi (5-1) defeated Clifford Francois (4-6) via TKO at 1:59 of Round 3.
3. Super Featherweight: Mateo Maldonado (2-2) defeated Jose Vega (0-1) via TKO at 2:30 of Round 2.
4. Light Heavyweight: Troy Jones (8-1) defeated Ariel Abreu (4-1) via KO at 1:47 of Round 1.
5. WKA Lightweight Intercontinental Title: Ognjen Topic (31-20-2) defeated Miguel Martinez (42-13-7) via KO at 2:49 of Round 1.
