UFC Fight Night: Smith vs Rakic Results

UFC Fight night took place August 29th from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In womens action Alexa Grasso finally made her return and did so at flyweight taking on Ji Yeon Kim. Rounds one and two were close with Grasso using her speed against the power of Kim with both landing some good punches. Round three was all Grasso as she outlanded Kim and landed harder shots. All three judges sided with Grasso. Earlier Polyana Viana got a very impressive win with a first round submission of Emily Whitmire. Whitmire got it to the ground almost immediately but Viana landed good elbows off her back and then got the armbar for the tapout. Also Mallory Martin won in one of the all-time comebacks against Hannah Cifers. Cifers hurt Martin bad in round one and was on the verge of finishing her but Martin survived. UFC Fight Night took place August 22nd place UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In women's action, Shana Dobson scored a huge upset by defeating Mariya Agapova. In round one Agapova was super aggressive looking for a quick finish. Agapova didn't get the finish but won the round landing the harder shots, but Dobson stayed in there. In round two it appeared Agapova had exhausted herself as she had little left to offer and Dobson took over and got the TKO finish. Earlier Amanda Lemos got a win over Mizuki Inoue by decision. Dana White's Contender Series returned August 4th from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the Main Event, Dustin Jacoby defeated Ty Flores. Each round was the same with Jacoby landing repeated hard shots that would hurt Flores but not put him away.
